Girly accessories haul for a fairy themed bedroom

This week I've splashed out a little and bought a few new items for Gracie's bedroom. I couldn't resist when I saw them. I love Gracie's bedroom and I'm always thinking of new ways to make it more special. Now the weather is getting nicer I can soon start on a few of my planned up cycling projects. Until then here is my latest haul;

I love this beautiful stool from The Pink Fairy Cake it cost me £18.50 and my plan for this is to add a nice mirror low down on one of the walls in the bedroom so Gracie can pull up her stool and use it as a dressing area to play with her hair and pretend to apply her make up! We've bought many other items from The Pink Fairy Cake before, there is not much Karine can't make and I love watching her latest creations pop up in my news feed!

Next I spotted these DRONA storage boxes in IKEA. I bought a pale pink version a few years ago as there were no other colour choices but they look really shabby and are covered in marks from moving from house to house. These are exactly the same boxes but I bought two dark pink and two flower print boxes. The plain ones were £2.50 each and the flower print were £3.50 each. It's amazing how much you can fit in these boxes. I've always used them in the IKEA Expedit unit for toy storage, they look great and keep toys well hidden. Of course the old ones won't be wasted they will be perfect for storage in the top of the wardrobe!

What do you think? The stool is my personal fave!

  1. I love that stool. It is so cute and what a lovely idea to put a mirror low enough for her to use whilst sitting on the stool! x

    1. Yeah she's been asking for a mirror in her bedroom so I thought this would be perfect for her and won't take up as much room as a dressing table!

    1. I know its the best part when doing room makeovers as much as I love how the paint/paper makes the biggest difference, the little bits are definitely the most enjoyable
