Project Three: Bathroom Makeover

Well I can hardly call it a bathroom it is actually a 'shower room' at the moment. This is my least favourite room in the house and is exactly how it was when we moved in back in September. Being pregnant, I love the luxury of a nice bubble bath and so far this pregnancy I haven't been able to have any! So you can imagine how much I have been itching to do this room. Now the kids rooms are done I can finally start this although apart from wanting a bath fitted I'm pretty undecided on what to actually do with it.

Here is the room now:

As you can see it's very plain and I hate having all the toiletries on show so I desperately need some nice storage and some decor ideas. On the plus side, I do have a bath. Unfortunately it is currently in the garden while I find a plumber! The room isn't a huge space and I've never done a bathroom before so would love some tips on storage solutions or how I can make it look more homely if anyone has any?

Project Two: Zach's Bedroom Almost Complete

After starting Zach's room in December it's been a very slow progress. In the last update I had finished the wallpaper and was struggling to cover the dark grey walls with white paint.

Well now we have finally managed to finish the painting and are happy with the finish. I've bought some new drawers for his room from IKEA to store all his clothes in and have added some of the accessories we had stored away for the makeover. I've even added the canvases I made myself for his room which were really simple and cheap to make. I still feel it needs a bit more but I guess it will be a case of adding things as and when I spot them like I have done in Gracie's bedroom. Of course I will share with you any of the accessories I find!

My main worry for this room was the lack of light that got in with the window being in an awkward place but I'm glad to say that the colours have definitely made a difference and have really brightened the room perfectly.

I have even solved the problem of cluttered toys by adding storage boxes into the wardrobe so he can just have a box out at a time, I will do another post shortly on space saving in children's bedrooms as I have a lot of ideas to help those of you struggling with space in smaller rooms.
